Hand-knitted alpaca socks made of pure alpaca wool

We now have our own knitted alpaca socks made of pure baby alpaca and various colors in our collection. Naturally hand-made by a skilled knitter. Completely in line with our principles. For this we use 100% baby alpaca wool with its special thermal properties. Your feet will love the antibacterial and odorless properties of alpaca wool.

The alpaca socks are entirely handmade. We are proud that we found a knitter from the beautiful town of Caraz in the Riosanta Valley. In winter 2019 we were able to test the first models in order to make improvements. The skilled knitter had made a large selection from the wool leftovers from the knitted sweaters and cardigans in the summer. We present these to you here in our online shop in a separate collection.

Special properties of wool

You can feel the special properties of alpaca wool on your skin. Why? The alpaca lives near the equator in the mountains of the Cordillera. Despite the altitude, it can be very warm during the day and icy cold at night . The alpaca fiber has microscopically small cavities that can compensate for these large temperature differences. This ensures natural heat regulation. Your feet stay dry and warm, while sweat and odor formation are prevented.

It also works without elastane, polyamide, nylon or polyester

In keeping with our business concept, we do not use any synthetic materials. We knit the socks with pure alpaca wool. The hand-knitted socks may tend to lose their shape a little, but you can still enjoy the special properties of the wool.
